Pilar Alessandra is a renowned Hollywood script consultant and author of “The Coffee Break Screenwriter.”
As host of the long-running “On the Page Podcast” (18+ years), she has established herself as one of Los Angeles’s leading story instructors. Her teaching experience spans global locations including London, Rome, Beijing, Lisbon, and Cape Town.
Alessandra is a professor in screenwriting in the MFA program at UNC School of the Arts and concurrently works with major industry programs including NBC’s Universal Launch Program, and the CBS Paramount Writing Program. Her students and clients have achieved significant success writing and show-running acclaimed series such as “House of the Dragon” “Dear White People” and “Grey’s Anatomy,” selling feature films to studios such as A24, Netflix and Warner Bros and winning the Nicholl Fellowship, Austin Screenwriting Competition, Humanitas and the jury prize at South by Southwest.
